Iconic historic market. Come for the flagship Starbucks, stay because the lines for the good food are so long (but worth it!). Our wedding hotels are concentrated there. Some of our fave foods: * Any flavor of yogurt at Ellenos (they do samples!) * Black truffle siu mai at Mee Sum Pastry * Beef & onion piroshky at Piroshky Piroshky * All the amazing fruit throughout the market * Clam chowder at Pike Place Chowder * Lasagna at the Pink Door
A small park with a beautiful view of the downtown skyline. This is also within 10min of our house, so if you're here, come stop by and say hi to the dogs!
A little piece of PNW wild but is squarely in Seattle. Full of long, mostly-manicured hiking and biking trails, sweeping views of the Sound, and other joys.
Delicious off-the-beaten-path Vietnamese food
One of our favorite non-conventional Thai spots within a half-block of many more cute Ballard stores and restaurants.
Favorite spot of local kayakers, hot tub boaters, and slow flat-bottomed boats. Also you can see sea planes touch down from Alaska!
Fancy pants Starbucks in the extremely fun "Brooklyn" of Seattle.
Actually legitimately fun touristy tour of historic Seattle. Josh and I have done it over 3 times with various friends.
Moderately difficult, heavily trafficked hiking trail because of its spectacular mountain and lake views.
Shorter hike were you ascend for 2 hours straight but end up at the top of a mountain where you can see the paragliders run off into the sky 🪂.
All the best product, cheeses/meats, beers, prepared foods, tinkly jewelry - perfect slow summer morning activity!
Smaller than Ballard's but with the same quality of food/bevs, plus a compound of vintage shopping (get your Levi's fix here).
Famous fun Seattle thing with known artist
Records, posters, demin, classes and homegoods. Wowza.
Seattle's version of LA's "the Grove".
Legitimately worth a separate shout out. Seattle has amazing ice cream, but this one is our favorite. There are a few locations to get this ice cream -- but Capitol Hill had it first!
Traveling to Bainbridge Island via the ferry is part of the adventure! There are small sunny beaches, nice restaurants and a generally sleep chill island vibe.
