We are having an unplugged ceremony - meaning that we are asking all guests to kindly TURN OFF all phones and personal cameras for the duration of the ceremony. Feel free to use them at the reception. We've hired a professional photographer to capture the ceremony so that you can relax and be present with us.
This is primarily an outdoor event. The ceremony will be outside in the park, while the reception will be on the patio of the Chisos Mountain Lodge with patio heaters. Nighttime temperatures are typically in the 50s or 60s in Big Bend during this time of year, so we would advise bringing a jacket or shawl.
Semi-formal. No jeans, please, but your best boots and Stetson would be right at home.
We know some of our friends and family love to travel with their pets. However, due to the unique and fragile ecosystem of Big Bend pets are not allowed in most places throughout the park and will not be allowed at the ceremony.
Please note that this is a very remote, rural area. Cell phone reception and GPS signal are likely to be spotty in and around the park. We highly suggest printing off directions to your accommodations, and from your accommodations to all of the important event sites. Here are the addresses for each event: Welcome Dinner 22724 FM 170 Terlingua, TX (Terlingua House) Ceremony Sotol Vista Overlook, Big Bend National Park, TX (Most GPS and Maps services recognize 'Sotol Vista Overlook' as a destination. There are also signs inside the park and we will be providing park maps at the Welcome Dinner.)
