Technically there may not have been flowers in Lauren's hair but upon meeting in June 2018, Josh and Lauren's story began. Josh, residing in Nob Hill and working in tech, and Lauren, living in Daly City and working in the non-profit sector, exchanged numbers during their second encounter, in a clever move involving Josh's wingman, Bear. Their relationship blossomed through city dates, outings with friends, and visits to Square Peg, where Lauren worked with autistic children using equine therapy. There, Josh met Lauren's horse, Cecil, and was surprised to find Cecil was lovingly nicknamed Marsh. Lauren later moved to an apartment in the San Francisco to be closer to Josh, and they spent nearly every day together. In November 2019, they embarked on their first trip to travel to Costa Rica for Lauren's birthday, establishing an annual tradition, to Josh's dismay. Despite Josh's initial preference for Hawaii, Lauren's passion for international travel experiences prevailed. As the pandemic hit, Josh practically lived with Lauren during lockdown in her studio apartment. Taking advantage of the city exodus, they secured a much more spacious, Twin Peaks apartment. Following the move (and after seeking Lauren's father's permission), Josh orchestrated a surprise proposal at Keller Estates in Petaluma, surrounded by their family and friends. Flash forward to 2024, Josh and Lauren will officially get hitched on 6/8/24. They look forward to celebrating their love and commitment with their dearest friends and family- that’s you!
