FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 13th to ensure your place at our wedding. If we have not heard from you by then, we will assume you won't be able to make it and we won't be able to guarantee you a seat or dinner.

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP here on our website under the "RSVP" tab or by mailing in the card sent with your invitation. Just keep in mind when mailing it we need to receive it no later than August 13th.

Question

What is the address of the wedding ceremony and reception? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are at the same location. The address is 444 Delind Drive Mill Spring, NC 28756. Once you arrive you will see a Serenity Ridge sign with directional signs. Follow the "Wedding & Events" sign all the way to the top of the paved single lane road, once you reach the top there will be a gravel parking lot to the left for our guests to park. A majority of the venue is wheelchair accessible but the parking lot is gravel other than a single concrete handicapped parking spot right at the pavilion.

Question

Will there be parking available near or at the wedding venue?

Answer

Free parking is available on site but be aware that it is a gravel parking lot.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately, we decided it was not necessary to have transportation to the venue from hotels being the venue is within driving distance for most of our guests.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our afternoon ceremony will be outdoors on top of the mountain. Cocktail hour and the reception will be indoors but the pavilion is open to the outdoors.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

If it rains the ceremony and reception will still be held at the same address and the planned time. If the weather is severe enough we will just move the ceremony from the ceremony lawn to inside of the pavilion.

Question

What is the closest or best airport to use?

Answer

Asheville Regional Airport is the closest airport to the venue. Please note that it is still a bit of a drive to the venue from there.

Question

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is dressy casual. We'd love for you to come dressed in your stylish best! Think elevated comfort-dresses, slacks, jumpsuits and nice tops are all welcome. Kindly avoid wearing all white- we're saving that special shade for the bride. Please no sweats, ripped, torn or distressed jeans, or graphic tees. Dress to feel good, look great and dance all night.

Question

What are your wedding colors or what color will your bridesmaids and groomsmen wear?

Answer

Our main wedding colors are black and rose gold with some small bits of burgundy. Our bridesmaids will be in a dusty rose or similar shade dress. While our groomsmen will have dusty rose shirts and black suits.

Question

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

Based on historical data the average high is 83°F (28°C) and average low is 61°F (16°C). Previously the average chance of rain in the area is 21% along with average of 68% humidity. With this information in mind remember we will be at the top of a mountain so there could be a nice breeze.

Question

Can I bring a date (plus one) to your wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, as much as we would love for anyone and everyone to celebrate our day with us, we have a strict guest list to comply with our venue capacity. Therefore, our celebration will be a strict RSVP only. We are only able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We love your little ones and are planning for a family-friendly celebration! Children are absolutely welcome to join us for the big day-but if you prefer a night off, that's perfectly okay too. When you receive your RSVP card it will list the number of chairs to reserve for your family.

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We will have hors d'oeuvres passed around during cocktail hour followed by dinner. Dinner will be served buffet-style-whether that's a little bit of everything or just your favorites. We want everyone to enjoy a meal that suits their taste!

Question

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

The menu for dinner is a set menu. However, if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions please let us know when you RSVP so we can notify the chef.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We'll have an open bar with a couple of signature drinks, signature shots, and a very small selection of beer and wine available for guests to enjoy. If there is something specific you'd like to have that we're not offering, we're happy to include it-as long as it's provided to us ahead of time, no later than a week before. Since we're allowed to bring our own alcohol, you're welcome to supply anything extra you'd like to have on hand for yourself or to share!

Question

Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?

Answer

You can find our wedding registry here on our website under the "Registry" tab. Under that tab at the bottom there is also a direct link to our amazon registry. You can purchase directly from either one.

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is enough of a gift for us. if you'd like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 110 Belinda Loop Statesville, NC 28677. There will be a wedding card box at our reception.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The venue will open up to 1 hour before our ceremony time at 4pm. We recommend arriving at the venue at least 15 to 20 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space and find a seat. The ceremony space is located about 5 minutes from the parking lot, depending on the person. I recommend taking a virtual tour of the venue if you need a better idea of the area. Answer

We kindly ask that you join us for an unplugged ceremony. Please turn off all phones and cameras to be fully present with us in the moment. However, we welcome and encourage you to take photos during the reception! There will be plenty of photo opportunities, including a Photo Booth, so feel free to capture the fun and make some memories with us.
