What’s the Dress Code?

Answer

The attire for our wedding is semi-formal required/optional formal. Please use this opportunity to dress up with us and feel your best self! IMPORTANT NOTE: James River Country Club provides a dress code that all guests on site must follow. We ask that you please participate in our semi-formal or formal dress code as we don’t want you turned away at the door and missing all the fun!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we unfortunately cannot accommodate all children. Unless they are formally listed on your Save the Date and invitation, or listed under your RSVP here on the site, we encourage you to use this as a date night! (Open bar.. woohoo!)

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate those not already formally listed on your invitation. If you are receiving a plus one, you will see it on your invitation via mail and on your RSVP when you reply here on our site!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Once you receive your formal invitation via mail, please RSVP under the ‘RSVP’ tab here on our site no later than August 25th.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30PM ET, so we recommend arriving before 4:15PM ET at the latest. Please arrive with enough time to park, grab a drink, and find your seat!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Luckily, Newport News is a very populated area with plenty of Ubers and Lyfts nearby. The newlyweds will be partying and celebrating all night, so if you'd like to join us, please organize an Uber, Lyft, or Designated Driver prior to the evening to ensure you arrive on time, and get back to your hotel safely!
