Maid of Honor

Krista met her Maid of Honor and best friend, Rachel at her first job in 2016. While the job wasn't so great, Krista and Rachel found a way to bond and make the days at work enjoyable. They survived the trenches at work together, and continued their bond after moving on to new jobs through various wine nights, hiking trips, and essential vent sessions. Krista and Rachel can easily talk for HOURS on end and never get sick of each other. Rachel's ability to be her full, creative self is something that Krista has always admired. She is a fierce friend who has been there for Krista in good times, and in bad without any judgement or question. Krista is so incredibly grateful for Rachel's lasting friendship, so she had no choice but to have her by her side as the Maid of Honor 😊

Josh Baker

Man of Honor

Josh Baker (not to be mistaken for the other Josh B. 😆) is Krista's Man of Honor! They met back in 2019 when she joined the Washington, DC Stonewall Kickball league. They were on the same team for a season, and moved to what is now their forever team, Pitch Please. In 2021 Krista moved in with Josh to his beautiful row home in DC where she was given the nickname, Dungeon Dweller (she lived in the basement in-law suite 😅). They had many an adventure in DC including all-day bottomless brunches, kickball games, cooking dinner for each other, watching their favorite movies and TV shows together, attending the annual Rehoboth beach trip together, and much more. Krista lived with Josh all up until mid-2024 before she made her final move down to Asheville to be closer to the other Josh B (Bennett 😊). Even though they no longer live together, Josh and Krista still keep in touch frequently and every time she goes up north to pay her old friends a visit, she usually stays with Josh. Only now she's no longer in the basement 😉. Some of Krista's favorite memories happened while living with Josh in Washington, DC and will forever be grateful for her time in DC and with Josh. Krista is thrilled to have Josh by her side on the big day!

Drew and Krista met through their sorority in college, Alpha Gamma Delta. While college and Alpha Gam were fun and fuzzy times, they both graduated and went their separate ways. In the later part of their twenties, Drew and Krista reconnected through the many other wedding events they attended together through out the years. Overtime, and through much communication, Drew and Krista became each other's true confidant. While a lot of their friends were getting married, the two remained single and leaned on each other for encouragement and support...until they each met their person❤️. When Krista met Josh in 2023, Drew was a safe haven she could lean on to ease her fears. When it came time for Josh to propose to Krista, he leaned on Drew and a few others for advice and opinions. That's just how much Krista trusts Drew. There was never a doubt in Krista's mind that Drew would be standing by her side on her wedding day.

Michael Castanon

Michael has been a constant in Krista's life since 2013. They met in college through mutual friends and instantly hit it off. Michael soon became the sweetheart of Alpha Gamma Delta, her sorority. The two bonded on their mutual love for music, pop-culture, reality television, and shared experiences. There were many crazy and fun-filled nights that were full of laughter and great memories. They kept in contact after college with both of them living in close proximity, but weren't always able to hangout because of work. However, that all changed when Michael helped Krista get a job where he worked! So, not only did they get to share friends from college, they also got to share a work family. Michael has become someone that Krista considers family. They can laugh for hours on end over nothing and everything. She knows she can tell him anything, and he will always fiercely love and protect her. When it came to picking a bridal party, Michael wasn’t even a question. Krista can’t wait to experience this huge life event alongside her best friend, Michael.

Katie Stewart

Katie and Krista also met through their shared sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, and she became Krista's little or 'kid'. When Katie was a pledge, her and Krista bonded over their shared love of performance. Krista was on Longwood University's dance team, Blue Heat, while Katie was a cheerleader. There were a lot of girls at the time who wanted Katie as their little, or 'kid', but Krista knew she had to have her! Once it became official, they had a bond for life. After they both graduated they kept in touch every now and then but didn't fully reconnect until around 2020. When Krista was going through a hard time, Katie was there for her as a trustworthy friend she knew she could be vulnerable with. Even though they lived far away from each other and didn't get to see each other all the time, Krista knew Katie was someone she could lean on. Katie is the kind of friend you can go a long time without seeing, yet it feels like no time has passed when you meet up again. As they've navigated the challenges of life, relationships, and adulthood, Krista and Katie's friendship has evolved into a bond they both truly cherish. Krista knew that she had to have Katie by her side on such a special day!
