We met in 2015 at church and were acquaintances for many years before gradually becoming friends and spending more time together. In the summer of 2025, Josh slowly started moving towards Kelsey-from going berry picking with our small group from church, to being corn hole partners, to stargazing together while having our first long talk. We had our first date on a hike in the Columbia River Gorge on September 1st. Over the next 6 months, we spent lots of quality time together doing some of our favorite activities; cooking meals, going on hikes, trying new restaurants, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. On February 21st, we went on a cold, windy, and rainy hike in the Gorge, this time at Multnomah Falls. As we neared the top of the falls, the rain turned into snow. We sat together near the water and Josh proposed with his grandmother’s ring. We are planning to be married on May 30th, just shy of being together for 9 months. We are so thankful for a God who cares about the intricate details of our lives and for this unexpected blessing in His perfect timing. We are thankful also for all of you, whether you are celebrating with us in person or from afar. Your love and support mean the world to us.
