We're getting married!

We met when we were in 8th grade at Elida Middle School. We had a few classes together and became friends (but the bride secretly had a crush on the groom from the first day they met). Eventually the groom developed a crush on the bride and on February 8th, 2007, we finally found the courage to ask one another out at a basketball game. Neither one of us expected to fall in love but we did. Little did we know that our middle school crush would turn into 14 years of adventures! It may have taken us a little longer to get here but we're so glad that we've had the opportunity to grow and share life together.

On August 3rd, 2019 we took a trip to Clear Water Metro Park in Rockbridge, Ohio to go for a hike (which wasn't unusual for us). Halfway into our hike we had stopped to take a break. We were sitting on a log just off the path and were taking in the scenery around us. After getting my stamina back, I stood up to start walking again. Josh stood up with me, sat me back down on the log, got down on one knee, and said, "I like this spot. I think I'm going to save this location. It's going to be my favorite because this is the spot where I ask you to marry me." Who knew that another hiking trip would turn into another great adventure!
