Our Story
We met on May 15, 2025 at Tones Recording Studio who was hosting Forefront Artist Festival, a monthly event where local artists get together to connect and share artwork! We were invited by mutual friends and both felt like we should be there - despite not really wanting to go. Julie texted her family during and said "there's a cute guy, I have to talk to him". So, she did! After exchanging some messages the next week, he asked her to coffee.
Our first date was on May 30, 2025 at Java's Coffee Shop and Radio Social - we talked about our faith, life and families. The next day, Julie was sick. Joshua insisted on bringing over a meal, and the rest is history. It became official on June 9, 2025.
On May 3, 2026, on the way home from a road trip, we pulled over to a beach on Lake Ontario. Julie found a message in a bottle (her dream come true!!) and while reading what was inside, she quickly came to find out that the message inside was from Joshua. He got down on one knee and she said yes!
