Growing up in the same hometown, Josh and Juliana always knew of each other. They both moved out of DuBois to Pittsburgh, the place they would eventually call home. Jump to 2017, Juliana was attending the University of Pittsburgh pursuing her Masters Degree and Josh was deployed in Afghanistan serving his country in the United States Air Force. In August 2017, while on vacation with her family, Juliana began to notice Josh liking her Facebook photos. So, she decided to start liking some of his back. This went on for a few days until 8/16/17 when Josh messaged Juliana stating “I could like photos all day”..they haven’t stopped talking since. Josh was deployed through November 2017, so he and Juliana had a long distance relationship (6,869 miles to be exact). They would talk over video chat each night and began to build a strong foundation for their future relationship. Juliana took a leap of faith and met Josh’s parents for dinner at the DuBois Country Club, where she introduced them to her parents and aunt (the place where years later the two families will celebrate becoming one). On 11/5/17 Josh returned from his deployment! The two “officially” became a couple on 11/11/17 and began the next chapter of their relationship. In July 2018, they signed a lease for their first apartment together in Pittsburgh. On 2/14/19, Juliana and Josh were on vacation in the Florida Keys with Josh’s family (Juliana’s dad on FaceTime), when Josh got down on one knee and asked Juliana to spend forever with him..she said YES and the two began the next chapter of their life together. Since the beginning, they have been through the highest of highs and the most unexpected lows, but have always looked to each other for support while continuing to grow & strengthen their relationship. They cannot wait to become husband and wife, with their family & closest friends present. They feel beyond blessed to have each and every one of you in their lives, 4/17/2021 can’t come soon enough!
