I'm Julia! I've known Janelle since Jr. High School. Fate seemed to bring us together and we haven't been able to escape each other since. The best way to our relationship would be... "opposites attract". We're two different personalities coming together, but then growing with each other and becoming family. Sometimes its hard to accept someone else getting close to someone who you view as a sister, but when Janelle and Josh are together you can see the love and support each of them gives the other. I will give Janelle a large amount of credit for introducing me to my husband, but i will never let her live down the fact that soon we will be married to two different people with the SAME name. Guess some things you just cant escape...

I've known Janelle for 16 years and if someone asked me to pick a favorite memory that I have with her...well I wouldn't be able to. Maybe from way back in high school where we'd spend sun-soaked days at the beach or college where we'd choose brunch over going to class (hey, we graduated so it's all good, right?). Some people think we are the same person, and with good reason...same degree, same career, almost the same name, same taste in clothes, you name it! We've gotten each other through some sh*t and I'm happy that we now have another person to help us out :)

Janelle and I bonded in 2015 in Fresno over the ups and downs of employment as exotic animal excrement relocators. Like our matching golden retrievers, Janelle is loyal; just as happy to go on national park adventures as sitting on the couch binge eat snacks. Like our matching cars, she is reliable, hard-working, and can handle anything. Though we now live far apart, I can always count on her for advice, help, or to just have a zoom wine date and rant about our day. I have been so fortunate to watch Janelle and Josh’s relationship grown from infancy, and I’m so honored to be a part of their wedding day. I’m excited to watch them ride zebras off into the sunset together forever.

I've known Janelle since our marine mammal lab days- training dolphins, barefoot in the Santa Cruz sunshine. Fast forward to the Fresno days, Janelle and I would text each other "You up? Let's have beer and waffles!". We like to make memories, ya know? While we lived under the same roof, Janelle stumbled upon Josh. I could tell he made her light up. Lets just say- before Josh, Janelle had seen some sh*t. And kissed a toad or two. May we all drink to that... here's to your forever adventure, I love you both dearly!

Josh... where do I even begin. Some say that I have known him for about 30 years, but do any of us really know him? Some say that he is my brother. Others say that he is someone who laughs at the words "pepto bismol" too hard. Either way, I think we all know him for the guy who doe snot stop asking what your New Years Resolution is. I often wonder who else's life he is going to infiltrate with his poorly used new age lingo, but one this is for sure... he will always be in mine. Until he starts calling too much. Then he's out.

I've known Josh for a while--some would say too long--and I am more than honored to be here on this day for him. I could say he is one of the greatest men I've ever met, but that would be too cheesy. And Josh knows that I'm not the type to be wishy-washy. So, I'll just say this: from one good friend to another, I wish him the best and hope his marriage is a happy one.

Hi, my name is Lucas. Janelle and I go way back, I’ve known her since the early 90’s. We were even roommates for a while. She couldn’t pay rent, so I kicked her out of my place and got the bunk bed all to myself. We’ve been lifelong friends ever since though, surviving the mean streets of Santa Cruz together will do that to you. I’m proud to call her my sister. Josh and I have known each other for a much shorter time, although through our weekly family pandemic-Zooms I’ve gotten to know him much better. Josh has felt like family for a while already. We’re all looking forward to this long-awaiting occasion. Even though it’s been slightly delayed, we're ready to party and celebrate the happy couple. Congrats Janelle and Josh!

I met Janelle and Josh via my wife, who works with Janelle at the zoo. Josh and I have bonded over a common love of running stupidly long races (which our loving partners tolerate with amused resignation). They've crewed for my ultras, staying up through the night just so i can run through the mountains in the middle of nowhere, and my wife and I have done the same for Josh. Now that i think about it, we're not really friends so much as co-enabled running addicts.
