Josh had noticed Jaimie bartending at the Dixie Inn bar and casino. While he had tried many times to get the attention of the beautiful woman, she gave a cold indifference toward him. Josh saw an opportunity to change those feelings when the Montana Grizzly football season began. Josh would show up every Saturday to watch the Griz play and try to flirt with Jaimie. After a couple of months her lack of interest turned to intrigue from his charm and funny comments. Jaimie was selling tickets to the Tavern Association dinner and asked Josh if he would by a ticket. Josh saw this as his best chance and replied, "Only if you go with me." This caught Jaimie off guard so after a moment of struggling to find her words said, "Sure." Jaimie did not believe Josh would actually go through with the planned date but a couple days later he texted her to make sure she was ready for their adventure. From then on the adventure has never stopped.
Josh was wanting to propose to Jaimie for sometime and the talk of marriage was turning from obscure to reality. Josh received a generous bonus for Christmas and decided now was the time to make the purchase of the ring. They had planned to spend New Years Eve in Missoula, MT so Josh knew this would be the perfect opportunity to ask the ultimate question, As soon as they pulled into the city Josh suggested they go to Brennan's Wave along the Clark Fork River. As they got to the overlook of the wave Jaimie was talking about how much she loved Josh. Josh awkwardly pulled the ring from his pocket and proceeded to go to one knee saying, "If you love me will you marry me." Jaimie didn't even let him get halfway down before she began to cry. Jaimie very excitedly replied, "Yes."
