Like most modern love stories, ours started on a dating app… actually, two. Geri first saw Josh on Hinge and swiped left — Josh had a terrible photo with a NASA letterman jacket, sunglasses indoors, flashy watch, pinky ring, and a mess around him with a puppy in his arms. But clearly the universe wasn’t done yet, because not long after, we finally matched on Bumble. This time, Geri swiped right, drawn in by Josh’s warm smile, genuine presence, and an unmistakably really cute puppy. Since Bumble lets the woman make the first move, Geri started the conversation by asking how long Josh has been living in Denver. He replied — and then she accidentally ghosted him. Completely unintentional, but still not the finest moment. Months later, Josh took a chance and reached out again, asking Geri if she’d like to meet for a drink. She said yes — and from that moment on, everything felt easy, natural, and meant to be. Turns out, all it took was perfect timing, a little persistence, and a very adorable puppy to bring us together. The rest is a story we’re so grateful to be living.
