A lot of people have been asking about colors- Think springy greens, and colorful wildflowers! However, please stay away from dusty sage if you can. For footwear, note the ceremony will be outside on a turf lawn so be mindful of footwear. Just don't wear white...
If you are staying near the plaza, or your accommodation offers a shuttle, you likely do not need to rent a car for the day of the wedding. However, there is a lot to do in the surrounding area of Santa Fe, so if you are planning on staying awhile we recommend a rental. We are also planning some casual pre-wedding events which may require a car to get to. If you do choose not to rent a car, just be sure to arrange transportation from the airport.
Anywhere near the plaza will be walking distance to the venue. These hotels tend to have higher prices though so also check Airbnb, Verbo, and hotels further from the plaza for budget friendly options. We suggest getting a crew together in a larger Airbnb/Verbo!
The Santa Fe Airport is about a 20 minute drive from the venue. The other option is The Albuquerque Sunport which is an hour drive away. The price difference varies, so check both!
We will have plenty of extras from our own travels for our guest book.
First of all, good call! New Mexico has so much to offer. We have a few ideas on our Things To Do tab but if you are willing to travel a little further we recommend going to White Sands National Park and/or Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Both are relatively small parks and can be seen in a day and both are definitely worth the trip. They are also good for non-hikers since not too much walking is required to enjoy each park. If National Parks aren't your thing but you loved Santa Fe, we recommend spending a day or two in Taos. There's a cool art and food scene with live shows happening all the time. It's basically a lower-key, mountain town version of Santa Fe. If you like history, check out our little town in Los Alamos. You can tour Oppenheimer's house and they have a small but excellent history museum. Next, go to Bandelier to explore the much older history of Pueblo cliff dwellings.
