Accommodations
We recommend booking accommodations in either Leesburg or Ashburn depending on how you want to spend the weekend outside of the wedding and related events. Leesburg is closer to Bluemont and the mountains and has a cute vibe if you want to stay in northern Virginia. As of 2022, Ashburn is now on the DC Metro so if you plan to go into the city it may be a better option though it is farther from Bluemont.
Flight
IAD
The DC area has three airports, DCA, IAD, and BWI. We would recommend flying in to IAD for the wedding as BWI is closer to Baltimore and DCA is closer to DC proper.
Train
WMATA
DC's Metro system is now connected directly to Ashburn and IAD and provides an easy way to get to and from Northern Virginia or DC.
