That’s right!! We met at Launch — a camp that our church, Watermark, hosts for young adults over Labor Day weekend, and we just so happened to be in the same group. Might seem like a coincidence but God knew exactly what He was doing… While we spent a lot of time with our group over the weekend, we didn’t get to talk much until after camp. We’d get together with friends — playing pickleball, watching football, and going to church. Little did Josh know… I may have “strategically planned” a few of those hangouts to get more time with him ;) At one of these get-togethers, I told Josh my car battery had died, and he offered to fix it. And he did just that — saved the day and took me to dinner afterward (my hero!). We started texting pretty often and bonded over our engineering brains and love for the Lord. Eventually, after Josh hinted at hanging out again, I made the first move and invited him to go on a walk — since he was a littleee nervous about ruining the friendship & our new friend group (valid, I guess!). So we went to White Rock Lake and brought Stella along - that definitely sealed the deal for me!! (Stella is Josh’s fur baby if you didn’t already know). I was just a nervous wreck the whole time, but God gave my soul rest and continued to remind us to trust Him each day because He is in control and knows what we need when we need it. (Proverbs 3:5-6) From there, we went on some really sweet dates — our first official one being at Mexican Sugar (we loveee us some chips & guac). Another sweet one was when we drove around Highland Park, sipping hot chocolate, and looking at Christmas lights (dreamy, I know). What I didn’t realize was that Josh was driving around for SO long trying to build up the courage to ask me to be his girlfriend. Finally, as we were heading home, he asked to make things official and surprised me with flowers (so sweetie pie!!). It is such a privilege & Joy to be loved by Josh!! And now… we’re getting married - WON’T HE DO IT!!! We are just SO excited to get to celebrate what the Lord has so graciously brought together with our favorite people ! With love, J & E
