Cassy and Josh met at a dive bar near Fort Myers Beach when Cassy was there on a horrible first (and only) date with another guy and Josh stopped in for a drink after work. Cassy's date was not going well so she decided to end it and order one more drink before calling it a night. Josh was talking to the bartender so Cassy went and stood next to him so she could order her Fireball and Pineapple. This odd choice of a drink grabbed Josh's attention so he started a conversation with her. Cassy could not stop thinking about this handsome man she met by chance. The only thing she knew about him was that his name is Josh and he liked to go to that bar after work. She went back to that bar every night until she found Josh again. It took a week, but she finally found him and the rest is history!

Cassy and Josh decided to take a 7 day Caribbean cruise together for a little getaway. On the final night of the vacation Cassy made Josh take her dancing. He kept disappearing for 5-10 minutes at a time. He showed back up and handed a note to the band leader claiming that if he had to dance he figured he would at least request a song that they would both like. He then tells the band leader to play 2-3 more songs before they play his request and he ran off again. When he finally got back he took Cassy by the hand out on the dance floor. The band announced that Josh had requested a song for Cassy and they started playing "My Girl". In the middle of the song he spun her and when she turned back around to face him he was down on one knee. The band leader came down and held the mic in front of him. Josh explained that he had been running around the ship trying to buy a ring, but all of the stores were closed and nobody was willing to help him with this spontaneous decision so he was sorry there was no ring. Then came the big question, "My love, my light, I love you with all of my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" The band leader put the mic towards Cassy and of course she said, "Yes!"
