Our Next Adventure

In case you didn't know, we met as two awkward 9th graders wandering the halls of St. Joe's. After four years of high school - with a few of those years stuck in the "friend-zone" - we finally made it official! From those high school days to today, we've been together over half of our lives, with 4 years of university, 3 years of long-distance, 4 years in San Francisco, 2 years of van life and a move back to Toronto in between! It's safe to say we've been pretty inseparable and it's sure been one crazy wild ride! We can't wait to see what our next great adventure as husband & wife has in store!

Josh had it in his head that he would propose in White Sands National Monument - why, he wasn't really sure and how, that was the bigger question. Spending every waking minute together in our tiny home on wheels meant keeping any surprise next to impossible... and Cass is kind of a snoop ;) He had the ring shipped to his Dad's house and picked it up when we were visiting home in December. He kept that ring in it's solid metal box (which legit weighs a pound) tucked away in his backpack... the same backpack that sat beside Cass on the floor in the van EVERY... SINGLE... DAY! When we finally made it to White Sands in New Mexico, we were disappointed that it was a cloudy overcast day and after a short hike, Cass just wanted to call it. Josh ran off and called Cass over because she "had to see the view" from where he was. Josh was setting up his tripod and was determined to get a good shot anyways. As Cass waited posing, Josh ran into the shot but instead of striking a pose, got down on one knee and busted out the most stunning ring Cass had ever seen. Cass started freaking out and between some smiles, some tears, some hugs and a bit more freaking out, Josh realized Cass hadn't actually said "Yes"... I think we all know how the story ends! We're so excited to celebrate our next adventure with you all! See you in Killarney!
