Thank you for visiting our wedding website! We're honored that you're interested in participating in our wedding in a virtual way. We had begun planning a much more substantial affair before the pandemic hit (and subsequently cooked up multiple iterations we thought might work) but ultimately decided that an intimate 20-person gathering was best for us and the needs of our families. We fully intend to host a larger celebration next year! We'll keep you posted. We can't wait to throw our arms around all of you when it's finally safe to do so. Our wedding ceremony will be available to view on Zoom. You'll find the link on the "Zoom Ceremony" tab. We won't keep you long. The logon will be 12:30 pm and we'll aim to start the ceremony at 12:35 pm. After we're married, we'll come over to blow kisses at the camera and send you on your way. We'll be sure to post lots of pictures of the day in due time. Wear whatever you like. Feel free to use the chat feature to send us your wishes or message each other. Take screenshots! - Particularly of those in attendance on Zoom. We love you and we're so grateful for your loving participation in these insane times.
It all began because of Josh's friend James' love of movies and Caitlin's desire to stop global warming. Caitlin was hawking green energy in the lobby of the movie theater where Josh worked as a corporate administrator. James had come to see an afternoon flick and afterwards, Josh left his office to walk his friend out. They walked leisurely through the lobby catching up, but the call of the Siren could not be resisted and James steered them to Caitlin's table to hear her sales pitch. 25 minutes later, the two of them were now alone (James, ever the trained observer, clearly saw what might happen, and had long ago excused himself) and the flow of conversation moved on from the role that green energy might play in helping to slow the climate crisis... Their coy, witty banter turned into engaged verbal sparring and before either knew it, the chemistry was simmering. Both were working, so Josh had to return to his office and Caitlin to her sales. Josh took a chance and left his number. Later that night, Caitlin took a chance and sent him a message. And here we are.
Our full proposal story could be filed under "missed connections" or "a comedy of errors." The important thing is that in the end: we had a lovely meal, there were beautiful flowers and biscuits from England, Josh got down on one knee and Caitlin agreed to share the biscuits forevermore.
