The Root Cellar An eclectic menu with indoor and outdoor seating. Great coffee! Guglhupf Bake Shop Nice little German bakery with good selection of pastries, cakes, cookies, and bread. Lunch Merritt’s Store and Grill Famous for their BLT’s. Order at the counter and find a seat outside. Al’s Burger Shack Voted best burger in the country. Also, great fries. Carrburritos Taqueria Fast, fresh Mexican food. Huge portions in a very casual setting. Mediterranean Deli Another Chapel Hill classic serving endless choices of fresh Middle Eastern food. Save room for their desserts. Yogurt Pump Frozen yogurt staple for decades. A favorite place for a casual dessert. Dinner Glasshalfull Contemporary American restaurant serving fresh and inventive dishes with an impressive wine selection. 411 West Delicious Italian food, lovely atmosphere, a Chapel Hill staple. May need reservations. Iza Whiskey and Eats Creative Asian fusion serving small plates, sushi, ramen, and cocktails in a modern, lively space. Kippos Greek Tavern Greek staples with many favorites, and vegetarian friendly. Pizzeria Mercatos Lively joint serving the best pizza in town. This is where Bryna and Josh had one of their first dates. Venable Rotisserie Bistro Neighborhood bistro highlighting seasonal ingredients. Good for dinner and also brunch! Bin 54 Steak and Cellar Premium steaks and seafood with a classic bar. Delicious and worth a splurge.
