The Beginning of It All

Sometimes the right one has been in front of you the whole time.

++ Bris Side of the Story ++ Josh and I have known each other since third grade. (I can hear the AWWWWW's now). But no, it was not the childhood love story that you would think. We walked the same hallways, knew the same people, went to the same school functions and yet we never really crossed paths. We knew of each other but that was it. I was a smart/nerdy soccer player that kept to myself and Josh was a very outgoing, push the limits, out spoken popular kid. We could not be more different. We graduated in 2010 and went on with our lives without a second thought. Fast forward to 2013. I had taken some time off of school and moved back home and was a manager at Zaxbys and they kept me busy working 40+ hours so dating was the last thing on my mind. But,,, enter Josh! A really cute and put together AEMT who happened to love Zaxbys chicken. Luckily for me, he and his partner would always frequent my Zaxbys. After a little flirting and serving him chicken with a smile, Josh asked me for my number. Now..if you've seen any romantic movies, this is where the guy gets the girls number and turns around immediately texting her like she cant see him...but this was not the case. Josh made me wait almost a whole month before texting me. Meanwhile he was still coming into the store to get food and never bringing up the fact that he hadn't texted me yet. BUT the wait paid off! HE DID finally text me, and here we are over 5 years later taking the leap into our future together. First text: January 20, 2014 Our first date was dinner and a movie at Movie Tavern to see Non- Stop March 4th, 2014 Josh asked me to be his girlfriend March 15th, 2014 Josh proposed March 15th, 2019 We get MARRIED May 30th, 2020

For the Love of Chicken

Joshs side of it all

Bri and I have been connected since the third grade at Harbins Elementary but I'm honestly not even sure if we knew each other existed. But, during our high school years at Dacula we finally acknowledged we knew each other existed. We had some shared friends but for the most part we had different groups. I always thought of Bri as the cute girl that I passed in the hallway, that I could never get more than a few words out of and I felt like she didn't want to talk to me (I now know I was correct about the not wanting to talk to me part). Bri and I graduated in May of 2010 and parted ways. Fast forward to 2013, I had gone to EMT school and obtained my EMT certification. At the time I was working for a Transport company, on shift we would end up around various parts of Dacula. My partner and I Loved Zaxby's and would regularly stop in for lunch at the Zaxby's in Dacula. I noticed that Bri was almost always there. We would always make small talk even though we had not seen each other in years. Each visit Bri and I would always share a big smile with one another and gradually began to talk more than just a “hey, how are you?”. After many visits I finally asked her for her number. Fast forward almost a month… I still hadn’t called or texted Bri because I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I finally worked up the courage to text her on January 20th 2014, and to my surprise she texted me back. We began exchanging texts and phone calls on a regular basis until I asked her to go out on a date with me. We began "officially" dating on March 15th, 2014. Throughout the past 6 years we have grown together. We have many similarities and some differences, but we have come to know one another and love and accept each other for who we are. On March 15th, 2019 Bri and I decided to take on the next step of our lives together! On that day I asked Bri to marry me, and she said YES. Now counting down the days until we say “I do”
