At this time Highway 1 is closed for six-miles from Lucia to South of Esalen. For updated road conditions please refer to https://roads.dot.ca.gov/ If you are traveling from the North (San Francisco, San Jose, and Carmel), the most optimal route is to take Highway 46 West to Cambria, then take Highway 1 North from there. There are no closures coming from the South.
