An ordinary fall photography mini session turned into the engagement of my dreams. Coordinating outfits with some of our favorite colors because I wanted new pictures to hang in our house. We both had the Friday off so I planned the photos for that evening. Josh made us an early dinner, pork chops before we got ready to go. The photo session was just right down the road at a friends house. We drove there and started taking pictures pretty much right away. Chelsea had some great ideas for all the photos. She knew what I liked and she also knew that Josh is not fond of pictures and is quite the jokester, just like her husband. She made all the pictures as casual as possible which I loved. She rolled with his craziness of fingers in my nose and casual butt taps. We get about halfway through the session and Josh said he was going to grab a drink from the car. Of course I said okay sounds good and I started talking to Chelsea. He comes back and he’s still being funny and making jokes like he was the whole time except this time he kisses me, grabs my hands, and says, “You know I love you don’t you?” At this point I still have no idea what’s going on. Completely over my head. I look at him and I’m like, “Yeah” and he says, “Well I talked to the old man.” My face instantly turns from confused to serious as I say, “Stop” as if to say, “You’re playing with me.” And he responds with “Yup, it’s time!” and proceeds to get down on one knee with the ring I had always dreamed of in his hand. The rest is history. I am so excited and blessed to marry the love of my life. He loves me unconditionally no matter how rational or irrational I’m being. I love him for all the small and big things he does plus everything in between. I don’t know what I would do without him.
