Do I have to attend every event?

Answer

All events are optional, but we would love to see you at each event you're able to join!

My hotel is in Easton, how will I get to Oxford for the wedding?

Answer

We are looking into hotel blocks at the Hampton Inn and Best Western in Easton (check out Travel tab). We are organizing shuttles to take guests from these hotels to Oxford. These country roads get dark and hazardous at night, and we'd like everyone to be able to travel safely to and from the Yacht Club.

How far away is Easton from Oxford?

Answer

Oxford is a tiny town on a peninsula right next to Easton. It is about a 15-20 minute drive between the two.

Why did you choose to get married in Oxford?

Answer

This is a sentimental place for me, Allegra. I have a lot of family in Easton. My grandfather, Dr. Brad Baker, grew up here and still lives in the house where he and my grandmother raised my dad and uncle. My siblings, cousins, and I grew up visiting my grandparents every summer of my childhood, and we spent the 4th of July watching fireworks at the Tred Avon Yacht Club. My dad moved to Oxford in 2018, and Josh and I spent four months quarantining with my dad in 2020. We spent our days roaming around the neighborhood and enjoying the beautiful and peaceful scenery, while everything else at the time was very dark and stressful. This is a special place where I feel very at home. I don't usually find people are even aware it exists outside of the Eastern Shore, so I'm excited for all of you to see this place I love so much.

What does "Beachy Dressy" mean for the dress code?

Answer

Our reception will take place at the Tred Avon Yacht Club's small beach, and we wanted to really lean into that feeling. We want color, sandals, and that summer feeling.
