We met through the Bumble app (I know, not everyone actually admits that but it’s the truth). Our first date was at a little bar called “The Garage” on a Thursday night. We sat outside, freezing while we talked about our lives. Ever since then we have spent every second possible together. Later Taylor moved in to the girls house (Polly and I’s) and shook our world having a boy live with us. However we made it through the transition of that and then decided to get another dog to add to the mix because why not? We got our golden doodle boy Gaston in January of 2022 to complete our family. On August 28th, 2022, I was on call and really hoping they weren’t going to call me in. However, Taylor was hoping they would or the proposal wouldn’t work the way he had it planned. Luckily for him, they did call me in. Of course the whole time I getting ready, driving to work, and working I’m just mad to be there. Little did I know Taylor was at home getting the best surprise together. I called Taylor to let him know that I was on my way home and to see if he wanted me to pickup any dinner. From that moment on he was putting the final touches on the proposal while my brother was on the phone with him watching my location to tell Taylor when I got home. When I opened the door to our house, Bruno Mars “marry you” was playing and Gaston was jumping on me with a bandana saying “will you marry dad?” I turn the corner and see Taylor on one knee and Polly with a bandana saying “she said yes!” It was the most perfect proposal he could have planned, especially since our two dogs were involved. We started to plan a wedding, but the further we got into planning the more we liked the idea of having a small intimate ceremony with our families. We eloped at the courthouse in Lexington, KY on December 2nd, 2022.
