FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We know many of you will be coordinating cross-country travel, so please let us know if you can make it no later than April 20, 2021. We know this is a long time from now, so we'll send you a reminder email in March 2021! Please note that we are NOT sending out mail-in RSVP cards, so you MUST RSVP online. If you don't RSVP by then, please feel free to bring your own chair and plate of food. Only kidding. Maybe.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

That's an excellent question! We just bought a new home in Washington, DC. If you'd like to contribute to our new home, we're registered at Amazon and would make great use of gift cards for Target, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and Home Depot. Alternatively, we would ask you to consider supporting one of our favorite charities: Homes for Troops, The Royal Flying Doctors of Australia, or Habitat for Humanity.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! The Museum's garden grounds are pretty expansive, so lots of room for kids to run around, dance, and celebrate with us.

Question

You're throwing the reception at a museum. Can I visit the museum?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! Legacy of the Lakes has a fantastically impressive collection of antique maritime vehicles (read: gorgeous old wood-paneled boats) and we've negotiated a special rate with the museum. More details to come, so please check back here periodically!

Question

Help! I'm having trouble RSVP'ing

Answer

If you're having difficulty with your RSVP, particularly if there is more than one person in your party, try entering just your name first into the form. After that you should be able to also respond for anyone associated with you in the guest list (spouses, kids, +1s, etc). if you're still having troubles, submit a manual request and we'll get you squared away! Additionally, once you access the RSVP form you will see all of the events that you're invited to. Some are geographically specific, and we're looking forward to hosting a very small ceremony for the actual wedding itself. We're so excited to have a number of different events to celebrate with everyone!
