Our story

Her Side: I met Josh through mutual friends February 2023 at a Buffalo Wild Wings. We quickly became friends and my weeks became filled. Along with our friends, we found every opportunity to hangout. As weeks where we spent almost every day together went on, I grew a deep appreciation for Josh's heart. He reflects the love of Christ so naturally. He is deeply caring, kind, and funny. I had so much admiration and respect for him before ever suspecting I would get to have a future with him. In fact, I didn't even know he was interested. Looking back there were signs, like the candle he brought me as a thank you for hosting a game night, offering to share an umbrella for a short barely drizzly walk to the car, or the seashell he "casually" brought me back from spring break. I missed all of them. Even when he asked me out for the first time, I missed the memo and invited friends. Eventually we ended up on the same page. After a night of stargazing, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I graduated that May and moved back to New York. Ever since our relationship has been marked by long drives, flights, and FaceTime. Long distance is challenging, but a lot easier when your mind is made up. Josh being brought into my life is a picture of the Lord's sovereignty and kindness. He proposed in the beginning of November, and I've never been more excited to say yes. His Side: I met Rachel through friends in college. As I got closer to her, I fell in love with her adventurous spirit and her kind heart. I remember when I first started to have feelings for her, I went on spring break in Florida with friends. That whole week, she was all I could think about, and I couldn't wait to see her again. While I was there, I made it a point to find her the best seashell I could find. I brought it back to her, which eventually led to me asking her to be my girlfriend. She was so spontaneous and fun and showed me a bright side to life that I hadn't experienced before. To me, everything about her was perfect. I knew I had something special when God brought her into my life. We've been doing long distance since she graduated college a year before I did, but I've continued falling more and more in love with her. The long car rides and flights have been more than worth it. It never stopped us from fun adventures together, seeing new places and trying new things. As time went on, I became certain that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I proposed and she said yes : )
