After swiping right in Dec 2023, Josh and Mariah spent their first Valentine’s Day together at a Paint and Sip class and dinner at what would become their favorite restaurant, Barcelona Wine Bar

By late February 2024, the spark had grown, but Mariah had vowed to take a fast from dating and had to fulfill her promise to God before she and Josh could continue dating.

After a month of no contact, the couple reconnected on Easter 2024 and it was like they never left – from salsa classes to romantic dinners, they kept growing closer.

Finally, they became Facebook official on April 18th, 2024, when he asked her to be his girlfriend. Mariah’s dog, Nova, approved. (as a part of her adoption, her name was legally changed to OluwaNova)

Just 5 days later, they celebrated Mariah’s birthday together on the water (she’s still making a valiant effort to teach Josh how to swim). (April 2024)

Spring/Summer 2024 was full of firsts for Mariah and Josh—first road trip, picnic, fishing trip, wedding, and more. It was the season they truly began to fall in love. (May 2024)

The couple took their first visit to Josh’s childhood stomping grounds and had lunch with his Parents. (June 2024)

First time fishing! They should have known it was meant to be because they both caught 2 fish each! (July 2024)
