We love the following restaurants and bars. Places in Downtown RO Near Hotel: Hopcat; Cafe Muse; D'Amato's; Leo's Coney Island; Ale Mary's Beer Hall. Places in other areas near DTWN Royal Oak: Kruse and Muer on Woodward (Royal Oak); Social (Birmingham); Recipes in Troy (breakfast/lunch); Kyoto in Royal Oak (sushi/hibachi); Luxe Bar and Grill (Birmingham); Woodpile BBQ (Clawson); Tania's Pizza (Stuffed Pizza- Royal Oak); Renshaw Lounge (Clawson); Bistro Joes (Birmingham); Hunter House (1950's diner for burgers/milkshakes in Birmingham).
If you are not staying in the hotel and you would like to walk around downtown Royal Oak, please know that parking in Downtown Royal Oak can be confusing. Your best bet is to park in one of the parking structures in Royal Oak (there are multiple). If you would like to use the on street metered parking, check the pay station which will indicate if parking is free or not (i.e. civic holidays and Sundays it is free to park). Also, if parking fees are enabled for on street parking, you have a maximum of 2 hours to be in that spot.
Feel free to enjoy a movie in luxury recliner seats!
