In 2009, KingNovo struck up a conversation with Swingrrl on Playstation Home. We quickly became good friends, discovering a deep connection. Over the years, we stayed in touch off and on, until one day, 8 years later, we both found ourselves single. Tired of living in greyscale, we decided to see if the connection we'd always had could be something deeper, and both flew to Las Vegas in October of 2016 to meet in person. Everything we'd suspected and more was true, and we fell in love over those few short days.

After a lovely dinner in downtown Vancouver with my best friend Tara, and her boyfriend John, we headed to Stanley Park so they could get some photos of the ocean to put up in their home. Tara clicked away on her camera, and I decided to take a panorama shot on my phone. As I concentrated on moving my phone steadily, I noticed it got very, VERY quiet. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed someone short next to me. Confused, I looked down, and Josh was on one knee, holding the most gorgeous ring up at me and grinning like a fool. Suddenly, it ALL clicked. After I said YES!, it was revealed to me that he and Tara had been planning this proposal for a month, and she was there to capture it in photos. The entire night had been planned by Tara and me (or so I thought), and she even managed to get me to suggest Stanley Park. I suspected he might propose on this visit, but not that night. It was a wonderful surprise and absolutely perfect.
