How we met

First comes school, then comes marriage!

The first time we met was in high school. Josh played football and I was a cheerleader (I know, I know, this story sounds oddly familiar to every corny preteen love story ever created, but just bear with me, I promise it gets better!). After convincing myself that all football players were stuck-up snobs, a mutual friend, Kylie, found it to be an ingenious idea to mention my name to Josh (probably because she knew we were both too shy and not about to go out of our way to flirt, *Thanks Kylie!*). After three days of my classmates suddenly becoming SOOO concerned with who had texted me; I finally got a text that clarified everything! Because, I have little to no social life, ole' Joshie had a rough time trying to get my "digits" (Kylie made him work for it!) and the only way he knew how, was to seemingly ask all of Jeff Davis High School. The text that I received, and later ignored read, "hey, this is josh!"...(mmm, OHHKAY, well which one?..it's not like that is the most common name or anything, right?) He later replied "Ernst"...THEN I ignored him ( I needed time to figure out why this senior football player wanted to talk to me) I later told a story about how my phone died and that was the reason for not responding. About a month later Josh blamed his missed passes in the football games on not having a date to the homecoming dance, so he worked up the courage to ask me to the dance and the rest has been history.

The BEST day ever!

(for now)

What started out to be a seemingly innocent attempt to FINALLY (6 years in the making) get some couple portraits taken, turned into the biggest and BEST commitment I've ever made in my life. Josh (finally) got down on one knee in front of a sunset-lit sky and popped the question. After several celebratory tears being shed I was able to piece together three letters and reply, "YES!"

What we are doing now

Josh is finishing up obtaining his college education. Josh is attending Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA to become a physical educator and he will graduate two weeks before the wedding, YIKES! I know, We both decided we couldn't wait any longer...SOO two weeks after it is! As for me I have been blessed with the best job as a dental assistant. After 6+ years of dating and many long distance phone calls, excited is an understatement of how we feel to begin this new chapter of our lives!
