FAQs

The Wedding Website of Dorothea Lee Wu and Joshua Aaron Siegel
Question

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will be celebrating at Castello Il Palagio (Castello Lapi Goretti Miniati), a medieval Tuscan castle from the 13th century (pictured above). The castle is located in the Chianti countryside, overlooking the majestic hills with vineyards and olive groves, not far from the city of Florence.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is black tie. For men, this usually means a tuxedo (or a very dark suit with a tie or bow tie). For women, it means a floor length evening dress. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held in the castle's beautiful gardens, so please choose your footwear accordingly! Here are a few few places in Florence that rent tuxedos: - Sogno di Sposa - Valore Sposi - Laura Romagnoli Atelier

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones, as we'd like to keep the guest list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on our RSVP page and no additional guests can be accommodated due to the venue's capacity.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture all the special moments, so we ask that you leave the photos to them during the ceremony and enjoy the celebration unplugged. Feel free to take pictures during the reception!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are planning to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception outdoors. We have a backup plan in case of inclement weather. If needed, we'll move indoors and let you know in advance.

Question

Is there transportation to the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, we are providing a shuttle for our guests that are staying in the city center! Since there are strict rules about buses not driving on the small streets in the city, the shuttle service will pick up and drop off at Piazzale Montelungo, in front of the taxi stop (at the far-right end of the plaza). There will be a sign that says "DORA & JOSH WEDDING". The shuttle will be leaving the city promptly at 3:30pm! The shuttle will also be at the venue at the end of the night to take guests back to the city center. The shuttle will be leaving the castle promptly at 12:30am. From Piazzale Montelungo, guests can easily find a taxi if needed by waiting at the taxi stand or using the itTaxi app!
