Places to stay
Malta is small and all locations are just a taxi or ferry ride away. We suggest staying near Valetta and taking short trips around the islands. Sliema and St Julian’s may offer the best of all opportunities, but everyone is welcome to make their own decisions. Vrbo and Airbnb may prove the most cost-effective and unique lodging for groups.

Ground transportation
Malta offers rental cars however the country follows the left-side convention. Heavy traffic occurs on narrow roads and parking is limited. Public transportation operates on the islands but may be slightly unreliable. We suggest downloading and comparing Bolt, eCab, and Uber prices for the best ride-hailing option.
Flight
Malta International Airport (MLA)
Malta International Airport is the only airport in Malta with connections all over Europe. Flights may be coupled with trips to other major European cities.
