Located in the Business District, just a short walk from the Cambria Hotel. They offer a wide selection of wines and host happy hour Monday through Friday from 2-6pm.
Cane and Table
Our favorite date night spot in the French Quarter. Cane and Table offers a bit of a reprieve from the po'boys and gumbo with Cajun meets Cuban and Caribbean cuisine.
Compère Lapin
If you know us, you know we love Top Chef. This is the first restaurant started by a Top Chef contestant (season 11 runner up, Chef Nina Compton) we visited together. P.S. Order the Copper Bunny.
Evangeline
We love Evangeline's laid back, welcoming atmosphere with all the New Orleans classics including jambalaya, etoufee and red beans and rice. Stop by for happy hour hosted daily from 3-6pm.
Johnny's Po-Boys
A must for lunch in the French Quarter. You will not be disappointed or hungry after visiting.
Luke
Our go-to oyster happy hour in New Orleans. $0.75 oysters and 1/2 off signature cocktails and beer DAILY from 3-6PM.
Brennan's
Brennan's is a New Orleans classic. We love stopping for a drink and snack while walking around the French Quarter. They also offer discounted bubbly cocktails and snacks Thursday - Monday from 9AM - 6PM.
Bacchanal Fine Wine & Spirits
We have never visited New Orleans without stopping by Bacchanal. It is just a short rideshare from the French Quarter and definitely worth the drive. For the San Antonio folks, think the Friendly Spot with a New Orleans spin including bottles of wine for purchase, charcuterie boards and Spanish tapas.
The Carousel Bar & Lounge
Located in the historic Hotel Monteleone, the Carousel Bar is a one of a kind experience. Have a drink on the circular bar that rotates like a carousel. Trying visiting during the day to snag a seat, but it is worth the wait.
Urban South Brewery
If you arrive to the wedding venue early, definitely take a short walk down to Urban South Brewery before the ceremony kicks off. They have a wide selection of craft beers including some truly unique ones like the Snoball Juice, King's Cake Sour and Espresso Yo Self.
Ruby Slipper Cafe
Headed to Bourbon? Go ahead and plan a trip to Ruby Slipper Café for the next morning to cure your hangover with benedicts and biscuits and maybe a mimosa or two.
Cafe Beignet on Royal Street
Dare we say Café Beignet gives Café du Monde a run for its money?! They have multiple locations throughout the city so go ahead and give it a try and let us know what you think.
