Let's Celebrate

In the Spring of 2022 Jody was living in Philly with some friends and Owen was living in Philly with his brother and another friend. They both were convinced to join a co-ed softball team, the Bundt Cakes. Jody reluctantly joined as her softball skills are nothing to write home about and even told her friend "maybe I'll meet my husband here". Owen was happy to join to show off his baseball talent. The season started in chilly April. People were introduced and pleasantries were exchanged. The Bundt Cake team became close celebrating win after win at the bar across the street from their field. Despite all this team bonding, Jody and Owen never seemed to talk. But they did notice each other. Finally, Owen and Jody were sat across from one another and the conversation soared and sparks began to fly. They both expressed their love for the Jersey Shore and made plans to meet up during 4th of July weekend. They had a wonderful time and Owen asked Jody on their first official date. That date really sealed the deal and they were inseparable after. They spent the rest of the summer at the beach, going to Phillies games, and falling in love. Over the past 2 years, Owen and Jody's love has flourished and grown. They both love to travel and have spent time in New York, Florida, The Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Houston and more. They moved into their first apartment together in King of Prussia and made it a home. They both started new jobs: Jody working as a teacher in Philadelphia and Owen carrying along his family name at Fidelity Technologies. They have bonded over their mutual love of adventure, family, friends, and especially Philadelphia sports. Jody and Owen are so excited to continue their love story and share it with their family and friends in the place where they fell in love.
