At their serving job in East Brunswick, Josephine was picked to train Kelly, and they have picked each other every day since. A spontaneous night out with friends on a cold December night turned into messaging until one of them fell asleep. This led to nights out, dinner dates, watching reruns of their favorite movies, you name it. In typical U-Haul fashion, Kelly and Jo lived together with Dana and Danielle in East Brunswick (In lesbian terms, U-Hauling means moving in almost right away). Less than a year of moving in together, COVID struck. Quarantining with one another helped build a strong foundation in their relationship. They curated homemade meals, watched Grey's Anatomy to its entirety, and drank like sailors. They were grateful to find a safe space in a world full of uncertainty. Fast forward to now, Jo and Kelly have been living in their quaint apartment in Newark for 4 years. No matter what life has thrown at these two, they continue to grow together.
