Kitchen Proper
Kitchen Proper is only a block away from DoubleTree hotel. It's best described as a “Rustic Urban Eatery.” The focus is on fresh, scratch made to order cuisine. The menu changes seasonally with dishes such as pasta, fresh fish, hand-cut steaks, unique salads and rotating entrees. There are nightly chalkboard features that showcase seasonal ingredients and the Chef’s creativity.
New Holland Brewing
This brewery is a short walk from the DoubleTree hotel. The menu includes above average bar food and great drink options. Don't forget to check out the back patio where they have live music most weekends during the summer.
Downtown Marshall Michigan
This quaint town is a short drive away and feels like a blast from the past. Check out Louie's bakery, a family-owned spot that hasn't updated their decor since it opened in the 50s but still sells out of their pies every day. There are a number of fun antique shops and a sweet paper store for all of your postcard needs.
