Mystic Seaport MuseumMystic Seaport Museum
My favorite spot of all time to take friends and family. I go there a lot. I love being on the water and it has so much history. The entire village is a museum. You can also take a boat ride down the Mystic River to the old draw bridge. A must see if you are in the area.
Mystic AquariumMystic Aquarium
Another favorite spot of mine. If you like aquariums this is definitely the place to go.
Olde Mystic VillageOlde Mystic Village
This place will take you back in time. A very historical area, this is the spot for shopping at the old vintage stores, the bake shops and a lot of restaurants to choose from. And if you like small walks, you can just take a relaxing walk around the village and feed some ducks or catch a movie at the Mystic Luxury Cinemas. Oh, and if you like chocolate, Munson's chocolate has the BEST chocolate made on site in the shop.
Downtown Mystic ShopsDowntown Mystic Shops
Downtown Mystic is where it is at. It's historical, it fun and it's filled with lots to do and see. Tons of restaurants and you might want to get some lunch at the famous Mystic Pizza restaurant where they actually filmed the movie Mystic Pizza starring Julia Roberts. They do have the best pizza in town by the way.
Foxwoods Resort CasinoFoxwoods Resort Casino
Foxwoods Resort and Casino is quite literally down the road from me. It is the largest casino, and it is filled with so much to do. No, you do not have to gamble to visit Foxwoods. It has a lot of great restaurants which I love to dine in, and they have the famous Hell's Kitchen restaurant where they recently filmed the last 2 seasons at. You may want to check this place out. It also has a huge mall the "Tanger Outlets". One of my favorite places to shop.
Mohegan SunMohegan Sun
Another great casino. My personal favorite, mainly because of the aesthetics. The design of the entire place really captures the culture of the Mohegan Indian Tribe. And it has some really great restaurants.
DuBois BeachDuBois Beach
Absolutely love this place. It is a very historical spot and one of my favorite and more secluded beach areas to go to. This place was where a battle was fought and won in 1814. See attached photo. Dubois Beach (Stonington Point) is a beautiful place to visit and not too far from Ledyard.
