How does shuttle transportation work for the wedding?

Answer

Shuttles will be available for all guests, departing from the Ballast Hotel in downtown Wilmington and traveling to Old Homestead Farms. The ride takes about 30–40 minutes. Departure times are 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM, with the wedding beginning at 4:30 PM. After the celebration, return shuttles will leave the venue at 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM, bringing guests back to the Ballast Hotel.

Can I drive to the venue, and is parking available?

Answer

Yes. Guests are welcome to drive to Old Homestead Farms, located about 12 miles north of Wilmington off I‑40 at Exit 408. College Road runs through Wilmington and becomes I‑40, making the drive straightforward. Plenty of parking is available at the venue.

What should I know about the Welcome to Wilmington Party?

Answer

The Welcome to Wilmington Party will be held on Friday the 19th from 6:00–9:00 PM at the Trinity Landing Pavilion. It’s a casual, drop‑in gathering overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, with heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks provided. Golf carts will be available to transport guests to and from the pavilion. Come by anytime — we’d love to see you.

What are some things to do while visiting Wilmington?

Answer

Wilmington offers plenty to explore. The Riverwalk, located right beside the Ballast Hotel, is a beautiful waterfront path with views of the Cape Fear River, plus lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy along the way. If you’re heading to the beach, both Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach have convenient spots to rent beach chairs, umbrellas, and surfboards, making it easy to enjoy a relaxing day by the water.
