Our Story
In 2019, Joseph and Sherilyn met at Sharp Memorial Hospital. Sherilyn was a nursing assistant and Joseph was beginning his career as a registered nurse.
The 1st time they hung out was for Joseph's 23rd bday. Sherilyn was the only coworker who showed up to his party (LOL). Joseph asked Sherilyn on their 1st date to KBBQ on 10/13/19, and it was the start of something great.
Over the next 5 years, they went on many adventures—vacations to Hawaii/Mexico, camping, and concerts. They became proud dog parents and took on the exciting challenge of becoming homeowners.
On 8/21/24, Joseph and Sherilyn closed on their 1st home. Little did Sherilyn know, Joseph had a special surprise planned. As their realtor handed Sherilyn the keys, she opened the door to a pathway of rose petals, flowers, and candles that lead to a bottle of champagne by the fireplace. Joseph dropped to one knee and proposed while their song—a special piece written for their 1st anniversary—played in the background.
