FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sara Neyens and Joseph D'Orazio
Question

Where is the Ceremony/Reception being held?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at Hearth House Venue in Monument, CO. 192 Front St Monument, CO 80132

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be semi-formal attire. Please refrain from wearing jeans, white/off-white, or solid blue. Children will be an exception and can wear whatever you deem appropriate for their age.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my kids?

Answer

We have chosen to include all children in our wedding and celebration. Your children should be attached to your invitation, and you can RSVP for them individually. Parents are solely responsible for their children, especially during the ceremony. There is a family room located on the property if children need to be taken to a quiet area. Please be considerate of the Bride and Groom and remove any upset children from the ceremony. If we have missed your children on your invitation, please reach out! All children are welcome!

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Joe and I have decided to include a plus one on invitations for spouses, fiancés, and long-time partners. If we have missed your partner or your relationship status has changed, please let us know!

Question

Can I take pictures with my cell phone?

Answer

Yes. We will not be taking phones or asking them to be put away; however, please be considerate that a photographer or two has been paid significantly to take professional photos of the wedding. Please be aware of the photographer(s) and refrain from taking important photos that they are capturing. Keep phones out of the aisle, and please just be aware and considerate.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

While Monument itself is a smaller town, Colorado Springs is only about 15-20 minutes from the venue, with plenty of hotels to choose from, including: The Great Wolf Lodge, Drury Inn & Suites, Residence Inn, and Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Monument/Colorado Springs has a lot of Airbnbs and rental properties as well.

Question

What can we do in the area outside of the wedding?

Answer

The Colorado Springs area has TONS of activities if you're looking for something to do. The Garden of the Gods and Pike's Peak are close by if you're looking for a hike/walking activity. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is further south in Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs also has the United States Air Force Academy, which you can visit. (Included this one for you, Sammy) Slightly north of the wedding venue is Palmer Lake Recreation Area, which has single-person kayaks and paddle boards for rent.

Question

What to expect of the venue?

Answer

The venue has very few stairs and is all on one level. The ceremony and cocktail hour will both be outside. The reception will be held indoors with access to the patio. Colorado does experience some summer rainstorms.
