It's 2008 and Joe and Sara are just starting at the University of Northern Colorado for their undergraduate degrees. They met the week before school started, in a leadership camp. Sara's friends insisted Joe was someone of interest and wanted his number. Sara, thinking Joe was a bit full of himself, felt brave that day, walked up to him, and simply said, "My friends think you're cute, can we have your number?" In the short exchange, Joe appreciated the honesty but slyly convinced Sara to give him her number instead, as he only had eyes for her. Fast forward 12 (actually 13) years, some additional schooling, various escapades, a bit of travel, 10 wonderful years in Greeley, a kitten adoption (Noche), a few moves around Colorado, and a pandemic, Sara and Joe decided to throw a huge party (if the world doesn't end) and commit to a legally binding agreement.
