On our first trip to Lake Louise for our "reversary," we learned just how wildly temperamental the mountain weather can be. Case in point: a few days before we arrived, the temperature was around 70 degrees. But on our first day, it was snowing and 30 degrees! And the morning we left, the thermometer rose to 50. The moral of the story is that the weather in Lake Louise can change dramatically and quickly. Temperatures can range from comfortable to freezing, and weather can be anything from sunny skies to a winter wonderland. But please don't worry! We would never want our dear guests to be uncomfortable. If the sky is blue and the sun is out, our wedding will be held outdoors. BUT, if the weather doesn't cooperate (too cold/wet/windy), we have a beautiful indoor venue booked as a backup. We recommend packing warm outerwear and dressing in layers so that you're always prepared. And, for those who still fear frostbite, we have a few tricks up our sleeves to keep you cozy.
As soon as possible! Lake Louise is a VERY popular tourist destination, and our wedding planners have advised us that hotel rooms get snatched up fast -- much faster than you'd think! Please feel free to book your travel and accommodations as early as one year in advance, and no later than four months out.
