Question

I am flying in for the wedding. What do I need to know?

Answer

Please be sure you have your passports and important documentation upon entering. You may either choose to arrive and depart into Buffalo, USA or St. Catharines, Canada. You would want to consider Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Niagara Falls International Airport, or St. Catharines/Niagara District Airport. If you are looking into the Toronto Pearson Airport, please be advised that it is about an hour and a half from the location and may require additional planning for transportation.

Question

I am driving from the U.S into Canada. What do I need to know?

Answer

To get into Canada and to return to the U.S., you will need to go through a border checkpoint. Be prepared to answer where you're going, how long you're staying, where you're staying, and if you are bringing anything in with you. DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSPORT. You will not be able to enter into Canada without a passport. This also applies returning into the U.S. More information can be found at: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/rpg-mrp-eng.html

Question

How long am I expected to wait at the border checkpoint?

Answer

Border wait times can vary a lot, especially on weekends and holidays. It's worth checking traffic before you head out so you can arrive in a timely manner.
