It all became winter break of 2016, I came home from college and was working at Lightbridge Academy. My coworker at the time, who I now refer to as my sister in law. Was talking to me about her brother and how she thinks I should get to know him. She showed me a couple of pictures and I thought he was so good looking and was very interested in getting to know him. I wrote my number on a post-it for him, later on that day he texted me and we started talking. We really enjoyed talking to each other and were both anxious to meet one another. Joe asked if I would like to go out to dinner, of course I said YES! He came to my house and picked me up. He brought me to a local restaurant in Union called Suspenders. Which now is one of my favorite restaurants because it is where our love story began. We both were so nervous on our first date but we both had such a great time, after dinner he dropped me off at home and I was truly excited to be able to see him again. I had this feeling in my stomach that he is the guy that I am going to fall in love with, and guess what I was RIGHT! Sadly, my winter break was over and I had to go back to PA for school, I missed him so much and was still talking to him everyday! I would come home on the weekends and surprise him, we kept getting to know each other and we both knew we wanted to keep spending time with one another. He FINALLY asked me out on February 12, 2017 and from that point on our love story kept growing and the rest is history!

During the week leading up to the proposal Joe kept bring up we should go out to dinner this weekend. I didn't expect it to be the most important dinner of our lives. He made it seem that it was for summer coming to an end and me beginning another year of teaching. He didn't want to tell me where we were going, he only told me to dress up nice! In the end it all made sense as we pulled up to Chart House in Weehawken. I was beyond excited because he took me to this beautiful place once before but we couldn't enjoy the view during the winter on our anniversary. During dinner Joe was acting completely normal and we were enjoying each others company. After dinner Joe wanted to take a walk on the dock to see the New York skyline since we didn't get to do that in the winter. We were trying to take a selfie and luckily a woman came by and asked if we wanted her to take a picture for us. Joe went up to her and gave her the phone, he also told her secretly that he was going to proposal and if she can capture it on video. I thought we were taking a picture, all of a sudden Joe is down on one knee asking me to marry him! I was in complete shock and was so emotional, I couldn't believe this day was finally here after five long years! I was so excited to say YES! And wear my beautiful ring on my finger !

December 29, 2016 Our first date. February 12, 2017 We made it official. August 28, 2022 I said YES! May 19, 2024 We will tie the knot!
