FAQs

Attending a wedding in a foreign country can be confusing, so hopefully we can answer some of your questions here!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Friday, April 3rd! We totally understand if plans change and/or you need to make last minute adjustments.

Question

What's a "Korean-style" wedding like? What can I expect?

Answer

Korean-style weddings are typically quicker than what you’d expect and last about an hour! The ceremony moves quickly with a formal processional and a few short congratulatory remarks. Afterward, guests are invited to enjoy a buffet-style meal and greet the couple before heading out at their convenience. We plan to incorporate time for dancing and celebration, but save it for the after party💃🕺

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Contrary to traditional American-style weddings, Korean weddings do not require formal suits/dresses. We recommend you wear ~business casual~ or like you're going out for a nice dinner ;) (If you would like to dress in formal attire, we also encourage!)

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Shortly after the wedding reception, guests will be escorted to the buffet meal, which includes a variety of cuisines and options suitable for everyone. Drinks and alcohol included🍾🍻🍸🍹

Question

What will transportation be like?

Answer

Fortunately, Korea provides easy access to public transportation, no matter where you go. For quick and easy access, we recommend using taxis/Uber; you can download the "Kakao T" app for taxis or use the regular Uber app. Many taxis allow you to pay with non-Korean credit cards. Another option is Korea’s subway system, which offers rides every 5-10 minutes. This is the cheapest option but keep in mind many stations require cash for ticket purchases and will get extremely packed during rush hours!
