Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 22, 2022. Can't wait to see you!!!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Because our wedding is so intimate, we are not giving plus ones, unless otherwise explicitly indicated on your invitation.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semiformal! We encourage all of our guests to dress reverently for mass, keeping also in mind that the reception will take place outside and that the weather will be very hot, although in a shaded area and with fans (and with an indoor section that is airconditioned!). You are also more than welcome to bring a change of clothes, and even encouraged to do so.

Question

When should I arrive at Mass?

Answer

Please arrive at the church before 2:45, as the bridal party will be lining up for mass shortly after.

Question

Can I receive communion at Mass?

Answer

Catholics believe that the simple bread and wine presented on the altar during a Mass become the living, real presence of Jesus--his body, blood, soul, and divinity. To receive communion is to receive the body of Christ. If you are not Catholic, do not share this belief, or have not been spiritually prepared through catechesis to receive the Eucharist, you are invited to remain present in the Mass without receiving communion. As the congregation processes to the front of the church during communion, you can choose to receive a blessing--by walking forward with your arms crossed on your chest so each hand rests on the opposite shoulder--or to remain at your seat. Either way, this is a time for reflection, solitude, and recollection.

Question

Where am I supposed to park??!?

Answer

There is no parking lot at Our Lady of Lourdes, but there is ample street parking, especially outside of the parish office. As for the reception venue, please ensure that you park in the designated event parking area. Since this parking area is closed to the public, there will be someone with the Inn to direct you and let you into the parking area. There will be an *optional* parking attendant taking cash tips, if you prefer. There is an alternate entrance that will prevent you from accessing the parking lot- please don't take that one ;) P.S. Please don't hit the pedestrians!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Please inform the bride and groom of any dietary restriction so that you can fully participate in our big day!
