We met the classiest way possible, on Tinder. We both swiped right and sent each other some funny one-liners. Little did we realize, we both already knew each other. After some conversation, we realized that we went to middle school and high school together. Of course, Joe was a hooligan, and Lisa was a nerd; so their paths rarely crossed back in the day. But after some maturing of both parties, a perfect match was found in the present. After a few awkward first dates, they continued to see each other, and fall in love. As they say, the rest is history.

Somehow, Joe and his mom convinced Lisa that they needed to go to Grand Rapids, MI to pick up a sign from Joe's cousin. While Lisa was very skeptical of this, Joe convinced her that they were just getting a sign and needed to kill a little time while his cousin was still working. Joe drove them to the Frederick Meijer Gardens, one of Lisa's favorite places from when she lived in Michigan. They walked around, and Lisa took them to the Japanese Garden. Joe told her that he "actually did have a surprise planned," and he got down on one knee with a ring. Lisa did not believe this was real until she noticed the photographer taking their photos! Shocked that she was caught by surprise, she of course said yes! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you!
