Joe is the person Layne is marrying! If you haven't met him yet, don't be offended - their courtship was during the pandemic. He hails from Staten Island, New York, and is a bankruptcy lawyer with a tax background, so please forward any questions about W2s or Chapter 11 to him. He is also a former naval flight officer, but he absolutely cringes every time Layne demands someone thank him for his service. He is also very spontaneous and outgoing, and is always down to go to a sports game, or concert.
Layne is the person Joe is marrying! She hails from New Orleans, LA, and is a plaintiff's lawyer, so please direct any questions about whether you should sue anyone to her. Layne is also somewhat conniving. She bait-and-switched Joe by switching her geographic preferences on a dating app to New York during the pandemic, then acted like she wasn't sure HOW they matched. But Layne knew she had a special one when Joe said, "I've only been to New Orleans twice, both times in August, but I loved it!" The rest is history!
Our dress code is black-tie optional. Feel free to wear either cocktail attire/suits, or tuxedos and long dresses! We don't really have a preference on which way you go, but we figured if people wanted to dress up, we'd let them dress up.
There is a parking lot next to Our Lady of Good Counsel. There will be street parking in the neighborhood around Felicity Church.
We are planning to provide transportation from the Church to the Reception for those without cars. Once we have a better understanding of whether any guests are staying in any of the room blocks, we may add additional transportation from the hotels to the Church.
