Back in 2018, we met at a mutual friend's birthday party at a local sushi restaurant in Encinitas, Ca. We sat by each other at dinner and chatted the night away for about three hours. The conversation wasn't your typical "Hey, what do you do for work?" It was all about our life goals, faith, passions, etc. After that night, we parted ways and followed each other on social media, with little to no contact. Don't worry, the story gets better.... After a few years went by, we reconnected on Instagram. Thank the lord for social media! After flirtatiously texting for a few weeks, we were ready to hang out in person. Please note that this first hang out session was at a restaurant/bar and we both did NOT consider it a date. We chatted over a couple of drinks and appetizers, and it felt like we picked up where we left off in 2018. We both agree we left that night feeling some butterflies. So here is where our story gets really good. On our first "official" date, we both decided to go BOLD on our day date plans. We separately booked a surprise horseback riding experience in Palos Verdes, Ca at the SAME place and SAME time. Yes, you heard that right...we planned the same date for each other without even knowing. The horseback riding instructor even mentioned how odd it was that he received (2) bookings at 11:00 p.m. the night before. Once we both came to this discovery, we were in disbelief and in tears. We knew this was something real and we knew fate had brought us together. God had a plan for us all along...it was just a matter of time.
